Bonnie 3rd Grade Cabbage Competition

My 3rd grade teacher gave all of the kids in the class a cabbage from the Bonnie Plant Company. I took it home and me and my dad built a box that was 3 feet wide and 3 feet long. We filled it with dirt and planted my cabbage[with an raw egg for nutrients] and waited for it to grow. It grew fast, more and more every day. After 10 weeks it was finally time to pick it. It weighed 25 lbs!!!!!!! I entered a picture and I hope I win. The grand prize is a $1000.00 scholarship! I'll find out if I won in September! Fingers crossed!!! Last Day of Camp- Created 2 Praise

On the last day of camp we had "Pizza Friday" which means that they give us pizza, chips and dessert for lunch. I also got to decorate my fondant cake and my buttercream cake. For the fondant cake I "dirty" iced it rolled out white fondant and covered it then I decorated it and put it in its cake box. The buttercream cake we iced it and decorated it to look like food in a bag. One of my favorite moments was when saw a video of a baby monkey riding a pig [He is so cute!]. Ortho News

I have a cross-bite. The dentist recommended that I see an orthodontist [a specialist in making your teeth straight]. We picked Long Orthodontics Assoc.[LOA]. I visited, had spacers put in and now I have an expander. It wasn't to bad but the worst thing was getting the mold made of my mouth so the doctor could have the expander made. So an expander is put into your mouth to widen your upper jaw so your teeth fit together better. It has a little hole that you put a key in and you turn the key. Mine turns 40 times - I just hit 20 turns last week! Don't be afraid! It's no big deal! I really like Dr. Howard and the LOA team! Your friend, Veda

Wacky Wednesday Camp Day

Today was Wacky Wednesday at camp. We got to dress up and vote to see who had the wackiest outfit. I also made pie crust, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, and pear bread. The instructor gave us recipes for Dirt Dessert and S'more Bars which I made earlier in the week. In cake decorating we learned how to use the grass tip. I think this will come in handy when I'm making cakes! Looking forward to see what I learn tomorrow!

First Day of Camp

Today was my first day of camp. I went to a camp called Created 2 Praise. 6of my 7 periods had something to do with dessert. Here are all my classes : candies, cookies, and bread,  beginner song writing, cake decorating, desserts, and fondant cake decorating. So far I am having a blast! I wonder what I will do tomorrow? Here are some pictures of the food I made. It was my first cooking class ever! I even pipped and made the flower and butterfly decorations. This camp so far I give the Veda 2 thumbs up!

Williamsburg 2015

At the end of April my family and I got to go to Williamsburg  VA. We went with my great aunt and uncle. Some of my favorite things were doing Rev Quest at colonial Wmburg and doing the Jr. Ranger program.  I also got to purchase my very on traditional  Williamsburg costume.  I love it and hope one day I can work there! Here are some pictures  from my trip. I give this trip the Veda 2 thumbs up!!!
